About the Journal

UMYUK Journal of Economics and Development is a blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Economics of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, Nigeria. It publishes original, innovative and scholarly studies, which are theoretical, methodological as well as empirical. It also integrates theory and practice. The journal publishes two issues a year (in June and December) and is open to authors all over the world. The journal is open access, which enables readers around the world to access researches on contemporary issues in the areas of economics and development.
